LL-37 is a synthetic peptide derived from the human cathelicidin (CAMP) protein, supplied by Purity Base as a high-purity lyophilized powder. Each vial contains 10 mg of LL-37 at a confirmed purity of ≥98%, verified by HPLC. As the sole known human cathelicidin-derived host-defence peptide, LL-37 occupies a well-established position in the preclinical research literature, making it a reliable reference compound for studies centred on innate immunity, antimicrobial mechanisms, and immunomodulation.
LL-37 has been extensively studied in preclinical and in vitro models across several overlapping areas of immunological and cellular research:
LL-37 is supplied as a lyophilized powder and should be reconstituted with an appropriate volume of bacteriostatic water (BAC water) prior to use. Add the BAC water slowly along the inner wall of the vial, then gently swirl — do not shake — until the powder is fully dissolved. Avoid vigorous agitation, which can compromise peptide integrity. Handle under clean laboratory conditions and minimise repeated freeze-thaw cycles by preparing single-use aliquots where practicable.
Store the lyophilized product refrigerated, protected from light and moisture. Once reconstituted, keep the solution refrigerated at 2–8 °C and use within a short period to ensure reagent integrity. Lyophilized stock, when stored correctly, retains stability over the longer term.
A batch-specific Certificate of Analysis (CoA) is provided with every order, documenting purity and confirming compliance with Purity Base quality standards.
